Yes, & no, when it's nice out, driving down there is BAD, parking is even worse. The street is parking lot, with people waking making better time.

 

Alki beach sounds good, and it would be difficult to find parking there on a sunny day, esspecially on a weekend. I'm not familliar with the whole Seattle scene, since I lived in Portland like two years ago, but I'm getting there..
Honestly, this would be my first GTG, but I'm all for it. I'd like to know who and how many people would be expected for that. I know it's not going to be anything big, but still...
