RE: Socal GTG.........uh......... June?
Wow!
Your car looks awesome! Congrats on the customized license plate. I'm moving soon to Texas, so maybe I need to do a little searching for a customized plate then?
I spent a few days in El Paso, then drove to San Antonio yesterday. In the 3 days around El Paso, I saw only 1 Audi on the last day and it was an old A6 Avant. On the entire drive to San Antonio, I only saw 1 more Audi and it was 20 miles outside of SA. There are NO Audis in West Texas. NADA!
BUT, we did some house hunting today and, OMG!!!, there are beautiful homes for cheap around here. The place my wife absolutely fell in love with is an area halfway built already, build your own custom 2900 sqft home, 3 car garage, custom tile, S/S huge Kitchen, 4 bed, huge game room, yada yada...only $260k. Private gated community with lake, private pool, and beautiful hills, trees, etc. Looks like we'll be Texans soon. We need to start the building process late this fall to have our home ready.
Oh well.
Back to cool Audi stuff. I found the custom auto shop in town that carries the laser jammers and detectors. I'm going to stop by there in the morning to see if I can purchase the jammer I've been looking for. Wonder what the penalty is in California, since it's illegal there? I figured that I'd just jam them until I was at the speed limit, then turn the sucker off. They shouldn't be too suspicious then, huh?
Having fun!!!
Cheers!

Chef, i thought you said you won't be moving til next year........planning on moving SOON?
so i went to orange county today to visit my relatives...... once i came to the mission viejo area, i noticed i was driving behind a new black A3 S-line, then i looked in my rear view mirrors and saw a Grey A3 driving right behind me, none of the A3's were modded........ that was a nice A3 cruise for a good 10 mins on the 5, then we parted our ways.

I saw a blue A3 in the parking lot last night. That's the first one of those I've seen since I left LA. Also, I haven't seen one "nice" car since the trip either. It's amazing how numb you get to all of the exotics in SoCal. LOL
We won't be moving to the San Antonio area until June 2008, but if we are building our home, some builders are 4-5 month process, others are up to 8 months. So...we'll see.
Cheers!

Sounds good! Driving and then Poker!!!
Got the radar detector today. Hopefully no more fuzz on the route home.
Still deciding whether or not to get the full "stealth" options for the jammer. My only concern is that it is illegal in California and the two front pieces will sit behind the front grill, but the only mounting place for the rearis the bottom of the license plate frame. That makes it a little too obvious for my taste, but that is the unit that integrates with my detector, and shifter. It might have to wait until the Texas move.[] Oh well.
