You can pick some up at Fry's. Usually sold in pairs. I have a set, so I'll bring them and can loan one out. We'll all select a common channel and then we can keep in touch. It is helpful, especially if we go over to the coast or get separated by traffic up hwy 9.

Also, a guy I know over at Fourtitude (vwvortex) A3 forum will be joining us. Maybe more to follow. I need to post in the NorCal forum there, and have yet to post at Audiworld.

 

Where is this meet in relation to the Sacramento area?? This wiil be my first meet if I come.

 

Saratoga is just southwest of San Jose... about 2 hours SSW of Sacramento. You're more than welcome to join us. There's going to be others from around the Bay Area showing up.

As for the walkie talky... I got mine at Best Buy. A friend and I split the cost for $20 a piece. I have yet to use the walkie talky with anyone else so it will be another experience haha.

 

I'll probably be there...few quick questions:

Are non-Audi/VW's allowed? I have 2 friends with 335i's.

I haven't been on Mt. Hamilton in a while, and never on Summit Rd. before, I usually frequent Front/Back Hwy 9... I'll be scouting these over the upcoming weekends, if you have any tips on these (loose gravel/bumps/construction, etc...)

Also, I've never used a FRS with headset before... do these headsets still require push button to use, or are they activated by voice (hands-free)? I'll go pick up a set. THanks.

The walkie talkys I have are just yourregular ones without the headset.
