I know we haven't had one up here in quite some time, so I was thinking we should have a g2g up here. I'm just throwing ideas out right now, so if anybody has any other ideas, feel free to post them.

Mike and I had a couple of ideas so far:

1: Meet in West San Jose or Saratoga, drive up Hwy 9 to the summit, stop at the summit for pictures, then back down the other side into Santa Cruz.
2: Meet in East San Jose, drive up Mt. Hamilton (twisties), stop at Lick Observatory for pictures, then back down the other side to Mines Rd. into Livermore
3: Meet in Danville, drive up Mt. Diablo (twisties) & back down.

Anybody have any other ideas, or want to propose a date & time so we can make this happen?

Aye. Don't forget getting food sometime.

I gotta eat.

Oh, and some members may not know my real name. I'm the Mike he's referring to.

As far as food goes, if we do the Hwy 9 to Santa Cruz drive, we could meet in the REI parking lot across the street from Westgate. There's a Panda Express, Red Robin, and Jamba Juice right there. Subway is across the street, and Burger King is down a little ways. Anything else that I'm missing, Mike? If we decide on the Mt. Hamilton or Mt. Diablo drives, I'm gonna need more input from ppl who live in the area. Jason, do you have any other places we could meet? I know the Walnut Creek shopping center garage has been done already. So has the Hwy 280/92 meet & greet... both of which I missed.

Yeah, I think the Santa Cruz ride would be a good one. If we meet at west gate that is a good place to start. I live in SF and I grew up in the northbay, next time we will do something up that away. Lets find a place to stop to eat out there and we will be good. I propose we do on Sunday June 10th, maybe too early but lets see who we can get together.

I live near Mt. Diablo, so i'm down with the ride up Mt. Diablo, from my friends who've drove on it they've said Fish Ranch Rd and Mt. Diablo are probably the best places to drive in da east bay. Plus theres loads of places to eat in Walnut Creek, and Danville. There's a steakhouse in walnut creek (good but expensive), jamba juice, and other goodies.

Yeah, there's a ton of restaurants in the area of REI and usually always enough parking spots.
