Default My TT in the shop.

About 2 weeks ago I decided to go to church (after yrs of not going). Well when I came out I noticed someone had key'd my whole car. Called insurance and they are going to pay for it. So I am going with a new color change on my car. Where the body will be a metallic silver with blue pearl, while keeping the roof of the car black. The shop is also going to custom fit a body kit to my car & will also install halo's on the front headlight (taken from a BMW). Below are pics of the process.

The primer is the way it got key'd.

Here are pics of the door removed so they can paint inside the jams.

Pics of the door jams with clear coat on them.

My rear will be something like this w/ a 2" lower than the original bumper. And the exhaust will be moved to where the 2 black cut outs are on both sides.

Front headlight will have halo's like these but should light up brighter.

I'll get more pics of the car completely painted tomorrow. I am excited it should look crazy.

How am I a baller? Insurance is paying 3700 - 500 deductable. I am just getting hooked up on the labor with no money out of pocket. The kit that will be fitted to the car is not for a TT. It will be custom fabricated. Like the side skirts will be from Reiger but made for a BMW. they will cut n mold it to the TT. My front will have the big S6 grille, with a custom lower chin. As for the rear they will cut it along the line, and drop it downwards about 2 inches. After that they will cut the holes on the rear to have the exhaust moved sidewards. I am going to the shop to take some pics today of the car being painted.

Since one of the guys working on the car is leaving on vacation this Saturday. He's gonna paint the car completely. When he comes back in 2 weeks, I have to bring the car back for them to do the kit. There are only 2 guys that work there, one works on the cars for D2 & the other one builds custom Porsches. The reason they are hooking me up is they want me to represent their shop. Though right now their shop is small. They are in the process of moving to a big location (I know they are trying to get the building of Century BMW).

BTW Matt, you still got anymore of that heat resistant material? Since my exhaust will be moved to the sides of the rear bumper. It's gonna be a tight fit.. I think I will need to use that material to insulate my rear bumper from the exhaust.

Updated pics of the car getting prep'd for paint. It took them half a day to tape the car up. They were like god damn this **** take along time for a small *** car..lol

In this pic, everything taped off will remain black.

Here is the car with 2 layers of paint, there is a total of 5 coats of paint and 3-4 coats of clear that will be used. In this pic there is no clear coat yet.
