Default My Thermostat is going out - Kill me please.

Holy ****.

I just price checked getting my thermostat changed, since its on its last leg (takes like 30 minutes for my car to warm up) Well, The stealership quoted me $550-$650 ..... I was shocked.. so I went to my regular mechanic, who I trust, and the cheepest he'd do it is $300! for a $40 part!

Is the thermostat really behind the timing belt and ****? Who ever thought that one up needs to be ******* shot.

Anyone know where I can get it done for cheaper?

Yeah the thermostat is behind the timing belt if your in ther you might as well just buy the timing belt kit and get it over with. Check out Blauparts.com they have a good deal on timing belt kits. Let us know what you plan on doing maybe We can work something out.

What sucks, is, my timing belt is brand freakin new, I had the used car lot I bought it from change it since it was at 83k miles and had no paper work.

But hey the TB kit from Blau comes with a free OEM thermostat, woo!

Nice Jet keep us posted. maybe we can just remove the water pump pulley and sneak around it. That way you wouldn't have to take apart the timing belt still a lot of work either way.
