Unhappy Lost my APR program.............Again

GF took my car to Penske Audi in Covina for 35k service last night. Chris from Penske (a great guy btw), called me saying that after checking my car, it hasn't been flashed with the new update(was a TSB). So car is gonna be freakin slow as a slug and not sure if I'll have to pay to have all 3 programs back. Then this morning, I got another call from Chris saying that my front break pads are getting thin and will need to be replaced and have the rotors done which will be about $550 (smacks forehead). I figured since the car is gonna be slow anyways, I won't have to break as hard like I used to, so gonna hold off on getting the break pads/rotors till later. He also mentioned that I need 4 new tires...ouch..and I haven't started my x-mas shopping yet..sucks....now I'm not really looking forward to picking my car up

Wow, that sucks Joe. Hopefully you can get it reflashed for free!

Is the service covered under warranty?

Also why would you have to get the rotors done? Did the calipers eat the rotors that badly?

The 35k service was free.
The rotors will need to be turned (resurfaced), still got some pads left

I thought APR chips included free reflashing if they were ever deleted in an upload..

You only need to do rotors if your braking is bumpy or shaky (from warping)

Just make sure Doug uses the "special" lube so you're brakes don't squeak lol

thanks guys.....I just got a reply from APR, the reflash is free from any APR dealers

Wayne, I'll contact you about the brakes and maybe I'll have something else done too, but it's gonna have to be after x-mas.

Doug, thanks for the offer bro, appreciate it. I'm thinking of getting everything done at once, since I will need tires soon, might as well look for a new set of wheels..hopefully I'll have enough $$$$ to get all done.
