Awesome to hear, Chef and for those very few that are not yet aware of how cool Brian is - he hooked 'ol Evo up with the "C" valve that was left over after the swap!

I'll reply to the PM tomorrow when I figure out what works best.
Thank you ! !

Nam,YOU changed out the DV? Hey, I'm very impressed! That top bolt is a PITA. BTW, when I installed the mechanically valve, the top bolt of that unit was even more of a PITA!!! I spent all of my time on that one friggin bolt! Isn't that always the case?

FWIW, my "C" valve looked very good when I removed it, so that should give you some piece of mind in its strength.

Cheers!

the bolt was pretty hard, but what pissed me off is when you drop the bolt up there and falls into somegapand you can find it, i gotta repaint my chrome lip again, it's starting to chip, i'm gonna try using this rubber based paint, heard it's not supposed tochip off.

Nam, I would remove the grill completly and sand it down. I'm sure your paint that was sticking to the chrome is causing it to chip easily. Usually with any paint project its prep - prime - paint - finish.

Okay, Boost Gauge update. The "T" fitting on the vacuum tube to the boost gauge is just too big. I now get immediate response from the gauge, but buzzing as well. I need to play with this a while to find the right balance. I never had the buzzing sound before, but wasn't happy with how slowly the gauge responded. Toys Toys Toys.

Cheers!

Dude - keep ur A3 technical Jargon in the A3 section..

J/k [:-]

im just a lil bitter [&:] my d*mn car is still running like crap.
apparently the shop that did my coolant reservoir tank (it was cracked)
placed the hose incorrectly & its ruptured so now im leaking coolant from that hose....

same place that did my timing belt last year & now my engine
has been sounding like a Cummins Diesel..[:@]

not too mention my rotors need replacing..

[:@] [&:] [&o]
So I took my car down by Temecula to a couple handy S4 owners...(to look at the misfire issues)
and well - to put it nicely, made me feel like I was driving a
'89 Ford escort... I rode in a nogaro blue s4 w/ the same mods as me - & well,
It didnt feel at all the same... mine felt like an accord.

so basically I found out my timing belt job was crap & I havta start getting crazy now
to have them do it right...[:@]

sorry for the rant.

on a good note I found out I have a Short Shifter lol... I baought the car 1 1/2 years ago & I thought
it was stock... I asked the prev, owner if it had a SS in it he said no....
well, I guess he didnt know there was one in it too.. I compared it to the stock S4's
and theres were alot taller & longer throws...

i3uddha - out.. (takes a deeeeeeeeeep breath.)

Sorry for all of the troubles my i3udda buddy. If it helps, then I have a $50 off code for rotors from www.cquence.net that I would donate to your cause. Good luck on the timing belt!

At least you have a new mod

Cheers!
