Default BMW 745 not so hot!

What's up everyone! I'm a new kid on the block. @ 2am, I was going home crusin' right around 80 when a BMW 745 decided he wanted to play. I only had about 3 more mile to go to my exit so I figured I'd introduce him to my 2002 A4 3.0 Quattro w/tiptronic. Traffic was faily light but he had problems keeping pace. When he finally caught up with me at a traffic light, he insisted I pull over. He was of course curious how could this little power house run off and leave him like that. After about a 10 minute conversation he was convinced that he had to have one. Neckarsulm 1 Stuggart 0!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree..my buddy has a 745 and there is no way a 3.0 with any type oftranny is going to keep pace with a 300+HP autobahn cruiser. The driver wasnt utilizing the BMW's potential.

well actually the BMW 745 is not a 5.9 sec car, nor does it have 300 hp. It has 245, 0-60 is 6.3, A3square, i find it high possible that you beat him. In fact when i first got my car (2001 s4) it was stock and i also took one of these on the freeway pretty bad. and i only had 5 more horses than he had. 7 series BMW's are not built to be fast, there for luxury and comfort, even though they are sum what quick i dont think it coudl take a 3.0 A4. If it was a 745 his 0-60 is a 6.6, if it was the 745i or li its 0-60 is 6.3. Car is way to heavy... All tho in 2006 they did come out with a 750i that does 0-60 in 5.9 ( i think you confused those two)

You convinced him he had to have an Audi 3.0.... Are you effing serious? Why would he want that for "speed" when he can clearly afford something with alot more potential and speed.... and I don't see the point in posting a win over a super heavy fully luxury car. There not meant to be fast... if you said a 3 series then we'd be impressed

There is a lot of misinformation on here. A 2002 A4 3.0 is not running away from a 745, especially not on a highway roll. 745 has 325hp and 330 ft lbs of torque.
