Default RE: A4 vs SRT-4

i had a celica before my srt4, i maybe had 1000-1500 in mods, like bolt ons, it was slow, i lost to pretty much any newer import car with a v6, i could squeeze out much more than a high 14 on the track. I got my srt and was nervous, but one year and driving the hell out of it, it holds up. I have never really raced any audis, a roll on with a 180hp tt, but i am curious on how my car would stack up. Im no way on here to come and start stuff. I admire your cars, thats why i am on. yes yours have class, style, comfort, and best of all handle. Thats why im here. But on the same note. My car is a beast from a roll. My 1/4 times may not be that impressive to my inability to come off the line. But my car wont stop spinning until mid 3rd gear. Im not gonna sacrifice a clutch for a faster time either. I have held my own even against 600cc sportbikes from a roll. i usually drop into 3rd gear from 50-60mph and let it rip. its the main reason i have a hard time getting rid of the car. Oh and the crank rear windows....yea its bad, also no cruise, thats even worse. but no, at a track i have not managed to get into 12s yet, but im close. I think with a set of drag radials on race gas id be there for sure. The stage 2 kit comes with an aftermarket dash bezel that when a button is pressed with 100 or more in the tank it recalibrates the fuel map and actually is known to add up to 30hp and shave almost half a second off the 1/4 mile time

I have no problems with the srt4, it is a cool little car....but it is not what I want. I like my awd luxury too much. But they can be made fast for very little money, too bad they are a neon...lol.

SRT4 is a nice car. It does one thing well straight lines and it's cheap. But there are cars out there in it's price range that are faster like the mustang cobra.

Guess the fact that it's a neon turns me off to them. But i respect any fast car.

But it's still a neon or like we call them around here skittles.

I second that, they are also known as skittles on Long Island.

It is a dodge neon, end of story. Americans have never got it right as far as real motorsport events go.

It's ok, he just wants to make sure everyone knows he knows what a Neon is!
