Ya so my buddy got some new tires on his brand new RSX type S with almost 300 hp, almost double what i have and we were driving around and we didnt really race, but we were messing around, in the top end i can keep up wiht him but off the line, damn, he can do 0-60 in like 5 seconds..oh ya but around corners i can get him, only becasue he acts like a Pu$$y around corners...i got to drive it, thats definately gonna be my next car wen i get more money..

he told me he raced a guy in an RS4 and it was pretty close but he had him...

^ ha. hard to believe. even a boosted type-S with hondata could not keep up with an RS4, epecially with these numbers.

Horsepower: 420 hp
Torque: 317 ft-lbs.

type-S is a 2.0L 4 banger, while the RS4 is a V8 monster. stock.

 

I don't get it. They don't make RSX anymore so how can it be brand new? And they had 200hp, not 300. Do you mean it's modded and new to him?

 

YEah, they are 205 stock or something.. I nearly bought one till I realized what a huge pile they are.

FWD.. terrible pull to the right when you let go off the wheel while hard accelerating.. cause the motor sits sideways and the car is just tiny. With basic mods he couldn't get to 300hp so I dont know what your saying... and 0-60 in 5 seconds? Thats good, but it aint RS4 good. RS4s have wayy more mid range torque than that little four banger, and a quicker 0-60.. so wtf?[>:]

 

The whole story sound fishy...first off, no RSX is going to pull on a AWD 420HP beast. The RS4 would be 3 cars lengths ahead instantly if launched correctly. It would then be 5-7 coming out of 2nd gear and then your history.A RSX is FWD and would be lucky to get off without tire spin. I used to own an Acura and I responded to another post regading a TSX. Aside form their CLS, TL's, and RL'severything else is powerless and lame. If the guy has serious MODS maybe he could touch 300, but I highly doubt it. He prolly raced a 2.8 A4. S4 wouldbeat an RSX too. Please elaborate on the story so we undertsand......

 

^ are you sure about powerless =P ? wha about the Acura NSX ? the only N/A 4-banger out there that could stand a chance would be a fully built Type-R. i dont count lotus' [&:]

 

RSX's can actually be quite quick w/ just minor mods. Intake, header, exhaust, and V-TEC controller goes a long way on those cars. Now, w/ that said........

There is no way your friend's RSX is any where near 300hp unless it has forced-induction.

If it does have 300hp, it would slaughter your car, especially top-end.

Even if it did have 300hp, it would get totally ***-raped by an RS4.

Rethink your story, then come back and try again.......

 

Yeah, pretty busy lately. And I was in the hospital for a few weeks. I was in a really bad car wreck July 3. Just recently got out of the hospital, still recovering. I had a broken hip, collar bone, shoulder blade, rib, and punctured my lung, all onmy right side. The 350 was demolished.

Oh, and our little one is due January 19. I almost wasn't gonna be here for it, but thankfully I made it. Take care.........
