Default a4 2.8 vs. VW GTI

A buddy of mine has a 2002 VW GTi and has wanted to race me since I bought my car. So we finally got to go at it a couple nights ago. His car has an intake, gretty cat back w/ cats removed and a 2.5 dp. Thats it as far as I know. We did the first run from a dead stop, I pulled on him off the line and started to spray in second then pulled about 5 leangths on him up until 85mph. He wanted to run me again dry so we lined up again. We launched and again I pulled him hard off the line and through second. Once i shifted into to third he started pulling on me, once my headlights were at his rear bumper I sprayed( I couldnt help myself, I had to do it!) so again I won. He sad from inside his car it was like he put his breaks on once I started spraying!

That's nonsense, spraying makes your car slower. Nice kills bro.

VR6 GTI's are pretty fast even in stock form. I actually have a friend with a 97 GTI VR6 with some mods and I look forward to beating him when I do more work to my car.
