Since I sold my 01 A4 I have been driving a 05 stock 350z enthusiast /w the tip. Some ******* with a brand new Lancer EVO X (I could see his temp tags) cut me off with my sister in the passenger side. I didnt mind till he kept slowing down in front of me and speeding up and from there I threw it into tip mode and downshifted and railed on the gas pedal. I was jumped down from 4th to 3rd going around 60mph. From there we sped down an empty road about a mile and a half and I saw him maybe yards behind me when I was in 5th going about 120.

I MISS MY A4 SO BAD!!

 

why do you miss your a4 when clearly the Z is a superior car and it helped you beat a mitsucrapo that would otherwise blow your a4 out of the world

 

One can assume he had a modified A4 1.8T. Very heavily modified. Z's aren't very impressive nor are the Evo X's, but it would still take some 1.8 MODS to keep up.

Am I close on the Modded 1.8?

yeah my b5 a4 modified. not sure about heavily though. it had the stock sport suspension with 034 ms motor mounts, apikol front snub, APR chip, EVO MS CAI, Audi tt 710 DV, custom 3" test pipe to 3" DP to Magnaflow exhaust.

and for the record, the 350z isnt that great of a car. stock vs other stock cars its ok but I sold my A4 to buy a TT.

That's because a stock tip 350Z wouldn't beat an EVO X. Granted, I also agree that the Evo X has been watered down, but still a stock tip 350Z would get torn up by an EVO X. It was probably a Lancer GTS (also with a wing) or a Lancer Ralliart.

It's a simple fact of numbers. An EVO X is just faster than a stock/tip 350Z. Maybe he couldn't drive.

 

Probably was a bad driver. It may have been a poser as well. A lancer GTS looks very similar and with the proper badges etc could pose as an EVO. This is very common with the BMW crowd. When I was a 540I 6mt owner we would go on BMW fun runs and guys with 318's and 328's would sometimes pose with M3 badging. It was so obvious. With M3 vs. non M3 the side mirrors and size of the rear wheel tires (offset) was a dead giveaway.

 

OP, when you gonna boost that 350?
