hahahaha, yeah.. they rev till 9k.. Its INSANE. My buddy and I were going down a local freeway. Lights.. yes, so we'd come up to a light, and it was up a hill. So, of course, we stop. He drops her in N, and we just sit and chill and talk a lil **** about passing by cars. Anyway, light turns green, we go. Nothing hardcore, we get through first and second pretty quick, we get up the hill and continue on the straight. This guy punches it and the back end kicks out at about a 15-20 degree angle just by pushin it a lil!! Those cars are soooo extremely light. But, he said even with zaust, intake, chip, slicks he wouldnt be able to get much. The only REAL HP gain you get is from SC'ing it. GL THO!

at a PROPER launch that s2k would destroy any hope of victory you've ever had. They're supposed to properly launch at 7k for maximum potential. Idk what happened, either he didn't launch, or doesn't know how to drive it, either way, he should be able to take you no problem.

Good burn tho,

BS. The latest S2000 is a 14.0 second car PROFESSIONALLY driven. Big deal. This guy has a chipped 225 plus a DV. It is capable of a 14 second pass too. Soo what if it revs to 9000? It makes peak power below that and it's only 240hp. Launching at 7000k? So what? It's only 2 wheel drive. There is only so much power you can apply without spinning the tires and AWD means you can apply more. The fact that 7k launches are possible without blowing off the tires only proves how weak the S2000 is at lower RPMS, not that it's going to launch harder than other cars because it's done at higher revs.

Okay, okay, S2000's are quick lil cars; I'll give 'em that. But they are not supercars or anything. And w/ the bolded statement, do you mean to tell me your friends S2000 got sideways at partial throttle in 3RD GEAR????? Dude, a Viper or Z06 wouldn't even do that stock. I REALLY hope you misworded that, or I mis-read it or something. I test-drove an '03 S2000 for an entire day before I bought my 350Z, and it'd barely get a scratch w/ a WOT redline 1-2 upshift. As for wheelspin in a gear while rolling, maybe if you have bald-*** 195's in the back, and you're on a dusty road, lol. I'm not calling BS, but maybe you over-embellished a little?????......

Yeah I gotta side with SCG here.. The S200 isn't far off the RX-8 or new Miata I drove, and you definitly aren't getting either of those sideways with the "Throttle" ESPECIALLY in 3rd gear...

You prolly slide a little, everything feels insanely cooler inside the car, like when I go into a turn at 25ish, put it in first and do a clutch drop from 4k, launching my car foward and sliding.... it feels insanely cool but on video it looks god damn retarded, and pathetic.. The only way you're gonna get sideways is power power powers, and thats something a S2000 doesn't have a ton of[&:]
