They are fast, but not my style. The guy could have been in the wrong gear.... those cars have some serious lag if not in right gear for boost.
Maybe he didnt downshift?
I like the evo for a track car, but wouldnt be caught dead in one on the road.

They're $30K new and put up numbers that embarass most $100K+ cars.

W/ just a few grand in mods, they're practically untouchable.

They can still be driven year-round, and they're practical.

See where we're going w/ this.......

yikes....guess I hit a nerve.....sorry guys, I'll be honest I just knew nothing about the EVO's in general (not my cup of tea)....learning though.....looks like something I might have driven in high school (in other words, geared for the younger crowd). I had no idea about what the cars are capable of, very impressive.....I'll stick with my slow tin can

Thanks, I really do love the car.......my first Audi. I've always had a Benz, but I'm glad I made the switch.....not bad mouthing MB by any means, just a very nice change of pace.
My last car was a C230 Sports Sedan with the 1.8 Kompressor, which I also had chipped (Upsolute) and my A4 with the Stage 1+ blows it away in every category.......looks (IMO), handling and performance.
My wife wants to get out of her M Class into something smaller, so I'm trying to push her into the new A3.......I just want to see what a chipped 2.0T will do

Thanks for all the feedback everyone.

that's kind of ironic, because her M class isin the shop and they gave her an E350.......always been a fan of the E class.....especially E55, now that car is ridiculous....and now the new E63.......EVO can't possibly keep up with either of those.....say it ain't so.....

Stock, no. But w/ just a few grand in mods, it will murder them both......

And for the record, you didn't strike a nerve w/ me. I like Evo's, but I wouldn't buy one. Not my style, and they're too common. I will, however, give it it's due respect for being a great all-around performance car.

amen. that's funny bc the evo IX is a tyrant on the streets, though it's little brother the evo VI had the best performance throghout all the evolutions. though the evo IV would be my all time fav ( <3 those giant foglights).

... thats quite unfortunate that chrysler had bought out mitsubishi and the Evo X will be a disappointment. it won't live up to it's JDM legacy.

Evos have no chance at keeping up with an AMG , RS4, M3 etc..
