Hey all, in Raleigh, just bought a 98 A4 Quattro, with 2.8L and tiptronic.
Its a bit of a project but I'm having fun with it.
I am pretty sure I will need a new tranny soon. Anybody have a lead on a rebuild or rebuit one?

Kray,
I seem to be having some similar issues. The car is stumbling severely when in a high gear with low rpms and then applying moderate throttle. I have yet to pull the codes, will be doing that tomorrow.
Tell me more about the tranny swap.

Well the tranny came our of a 98. Since then I changed both comps. The car runs great. No missing, no ck engine light, nothing. Seems that tranny swap required a swap of computers as well. Life is good on the A6 front.

Looks like I am going to have to come play with the North Carolina people, not getting any love down here in the south. Looking to get a timing belt done on a 2000 A4. Know any good mechanics or someone who is willing to help me do it myslef?
