How to go about installing a new sound system?
Hey everyone, just bought an Audi A4 1.8T Quattro yesterday. If anyone know any good set ups or all speaker sizes in the vehicle, or any help at all that would be great. I am really new to this stuff, this is my first car.
Ideally I would like, new speakers, amp, and sub.
Thanks!

I have just upgraded mine throught, I had the blaupunkt System in mine not the BOSE! If you are just planning on changing door speakers alone to run on standard amp from boot IMO you will no notice a difference as the door speakers are mainly for base, If you are looking to totally overhaul the system there are many posts I have read on here that offer brilliant advice, I have the symphony system in mine with the 6 disk changer in the glove box, I have removed the changer from the glove box and mounted a vibe slick 1 mono amp in its place which fitted perfectly! The only wires running from front to back are for the speaker wires for the subs, that along with the upgraded head unit gives me a decent sound, I am also going to get a Hi/Lo converter for the front speakers which will enable me to upgrade the front door speakers (6.5" in the front doors and rear pannels, I have no rear deck as convertable) to run more treble than base with stock wiring, otherwise your opening a whole can of worms with running wires to all new speakers In doors etc. 1 tip I found on here was to disconnect huge centre speaker in the dash as it has a horrible tone (as others have said its like a baby crying!) just this alone clears up a lot of music!
Hope this helps a little, any q's please feel free to ask I will be more than happy to help where I can
