Hooking up the pre-wired Satellite Radio for 2008 A4
My 2008 A4 is pre-wired for Satellite radio, there's a Satellite button on the radio and I have found the wires in the trunk that are meant to connect to the Satellite receiver, And I have found this GREAT step by step process to hook it up with pictures at http://www.audiworld.com/tech/elec115.shtml HOWEVER, in all of the other chatter about this topic on earlier models, there are 4 plugs encased in foam that will allow you to plug and play. I ONLY HAVE 3! That's all I see anyway. Is the 4th hidden??
Two are 8-pin connectors (one straight, one stacked) and the other is the green plug. In everything else I've looked at, there should be a brownish reddish plug that looks just like the green one. Where is THAT plug??
I found an XM receiver from a 2006 A4 that would hook up perfectly but it needs that extra plug (I'm assuming). Is this some sort of trick from Audi to keep you paying $650 to have it installed at the factory? HELP HELP HELP!
Thanks!

I have been researching satellite for my 2007 A3. It seems that there was a change mid 2007 for the sat receivers. I'm still trying to find the correct part # for the newer receiver. Seems all the cheap units on ebay are the older model.
Call these guys and give them your VIN. Maybe they will have unit that will work. Probabbly will be Sirius and not XM.
