nah, i just think it was a random redneck that didnt think that thru all the way, so he hopped in the thing and blanked on what to do next. you see the guy kinda hit the gas and he lets off right away, i think he just got overwhelmed by the whole thing and the fact that he actually did make it inside and got the thing moving

he might not have thought it all the way through, but it WAS planned. Check ot the begining, wen he first walks up to the car, he's got his friend witha camcorder right behind im, and a moroon with a (possibly stolen) "event-staff" shirt on sorta blocking everyones view, sorta... it waa planned, and, for smash-up derby's, I think they have ignition-kill switches, too. That may be why hi drifted to a stop.
