my dad has the american version of that a Merkur Xr4ti after riding in one of those for years they really are amazing cars. I would say one of the best Ford has ever made in that class. A lot of people dont understand or know what there all about so they will call them juiced up escorts or nothing greater then ricer's if those individuals only knew......
The XR4ti? Is that an awd car? We used to have the sierra XR4x4, which was a 2.9 forced induction, (I think). The Cosworth is a seperate beast altogether!

As for the escort, that was the rally slag that was the quickest for a looong time. Was also seen in Getaway in Stockholm II with the Supra.

If I was ever going to own some sqwatty little Ford, you can be damn sure that it would be an RS200 and not some glorified scort.

What's worse than Rice? IMO, this stuff.
Sierra cosworth? Rice? The Sierra was around a hell of a ot longer than the escort cosworth! Rice... duh.
I was lookin to get my grubby mitts on one of those, when I was in Germany, but teh bank wudn't finance it[:@]. Too "old" they said. And, the 300CE I wanted was too expensive, so I ended up with my Calibra... Still, it wudda been nicte to have gotten aholdt of one. RS200 was AWD, and filled many of my automotive wet dreams, back in teh day. The Merkur was a lesser "sister" to teh Sierra, and not a Cossie, either. Heavier, slower, but it DID come with teh same cool rear wing, which, contrary to 99.999% of teh wings seen on cars nowadays, actually had some aerodynamic benefit... You just hadda be going 100-ish to realize it

Sierra Cosworth

Merkur XR4Ti

RS200
