Stay cool, people. Introducing the AWE Tuning ColdFront™ Coolant Pump.
We initially introduced AWE Tuning ColdFront™ products for the Audi 3.0T engine to provide you with a failsafe way that would allow you to combat the evil forces of heatsoak.
Introducing heat’s newest arch nemesis. The AWE Tuning ColdFront™ Coolant Pump, for B8 through B8.5 3.0T Audi S4s and S5s.
Manufactured by the cooling-system gurus at Meziere, who have nearly three decades of experience with engineering and manufacturing high-performance cooling system products, this addition to our existing ColdFront™ product suite is a completely bolt-on replacement for the inadequate stock heat exchanger coolant pump, and works with either the stock heat exchanger, or the existing AWE Tuning ColdFront™ Heat Exchanger.
Wait. Did you just call my stock coolant pump inadequate?
Indeed. Repeated full-throttle blasts generate an excessive amount of heat buildup in the heat exchanger cooling system, which can overwhelm the thermal reserve capacity of the stock coolant pump. When this happens, intake air temperatures can suffer, as can power consistency.
The AWE Tuning ColdFront™ Coolant Pump flows 100% better than the stock coolant pump. Since it flows better, the system becomes more effective at resisting heat soak, which means the IATs that had previously run rampant without the ColdFront™ Coolant Pump, are now brought back under control. End result? You enjoy more consistent horsepower, run-after-run. Fact.
We found that by adding the ColdFront™ Coolant Pump to the existing ColdFront™ Heat Exchanger and ColdFront™ Reservoir already installed on our B8.5 S5, we were able to stabilize IATs and keep wheel horsepower figures solid, even after 8 back-to-back blasts on our dyno. Now that’s cool.
Bolt on.
We’ve designed the ColdFront™ Coolant Pump to be a totally bolt-in replacement for the stock heat exchanger coolant pump. There’s no need to hack the factory harness or drill holes for mounting.
Simply use the supplied hardware, harness, and bracket that our fabrication team has lovingly crafted in-house, and your ColdFront™ will remain functional and secure through the worst conditions.
New packages. Lower prices.
In releasing the pump, we have also taken the time to update and revise the available AWE Tuning ColdFront™ packages and options. It’s now easier than ever to select the ColdFront™ products you need:
• Full Package: Featuring the AWE Tuning ColdFront™ Heat Exchanger, ColdFront™ Coolant Pump, and ColdFront™ Reservoir.
• Package – now at a lower price: The ColdFront™ Heat Exchanger and ColdFront™ Reservoir.
• The ColdFront™ Heat Exchanger alone – also at a new lower price.
• The ColdFront™ Reservoir alone.
• The ColdFront™ Coolant Pump alone.
• The add-on ColdFront™ Protection Screen.
Important note: While the ColdFront™ Coolant Pump may be used in conjunction with the stock heat exchanger, it cannot be used without the ColdFront™ Reservoir.
