I'm looking at getting an S4 avant and would prefer a 2005.5+ but they are just out of reach. THe pre facelift seems MUCH cheaper, but I am having a tough time finding an avant. It seems like they were only made in 2005? Any help would be appreciated. I did read the S4 FAQ but it isn't listed

 

Well a large part of the reason is that Avant sales are miserable in the US. Audi wont even be bringing the B8 S4 avant to the states. Audi only sold 175 S4 avants last year total, thats like 15 a month. Theyve never done all that well over here.

But, to answer your question the B6 S4 was available in an avant or sedan for its entire production cycle 03-05. Autotrader has 8 of them listed in the US all are 04 or 05 models. Theres a white B6 Avant for sale on audizine classifides too.... slim pickings though.

 

just like the turbo supras of yester-year.. an amazing product for a reasonable price but no one bought it.. now you got supras tuned and built beating everything on the road.. and everyone wishes they had one..

 

To answer your question, I believe they were made through 2008. I just bought an '07 S4 Avant, 6M. They are out there, but take a while to find. I had my local dealer combing auctions, but in the end, I bought one out of state on AutoTrader. Took me 8 months to find mine, but wanted manual, certain color(s) and low miles. I am in NC, so they pretty much don't exist down here, but in CO, Cali and Northeast there seem to be a few...just prepare to buy out of state. They are coming back in 2010 as a V6. B5, B6, and B7 were all available as sedan and avant every year.
