I found my S4 today. A black 5.5..It has the premium package..however has the standard stereo with 6cd changer in dash( no nav). It sounded pretty good to me today, though admittedly not like the system in my pals BMW 645. I have read on edmunds that folks think the bose is a little tinny as it is and not worth the extra 1000. I put a deposit down on a number 100$ over the invoice. There is another 5.5 dolphin grey with a sticker price of 58k, and an invoice i am guessing about 52. I like dolphin grey the best, but don't care for the nav, and especially the tire pressure monitoring system. I am getting the car for the engine, handling, and overall fun factor..not all of the gadgets....In terms of the tire monitoring system, i have heard nightmares with it when driving in the cold and pressure decreases.

also..i plan to install lojack, and wonder about the scotch guarding on the interior, the scotch guarding on the nose of the car..the clear synthetic material?? hardly notice it but what happens as it ages??

If i follow through tommorrow it will be available friday morning.....can't freaking wait.....

 

Well if ur getting it for the fun, you should also enjoy SOME of the gadgets that come with it [8D], but seriously, once you actually start using the nav, you will love it and will forget why you didnt want to use it in the first place. No more need for mapquest , plus, it will change the way you drive, period. But seriously, if you have the chance to get the nav... take it.

 

1. The tire pressure monitor is tuned to not react to even and gradual pressure changes over all four wheels. It is tuned to detect sudden variations between one tire and the three others.

2. You should consider resale value when thinking about ordering the Nav system, or any other option for that matter. A loaded car will sell for more than a stripped one.

 

this nav system is one of the best manufacturer installed systems available. even if you dont need the nav to get where you want to go, it has that traffic monitoring so it helps with the best directions around the problem. dont know if you like to drive to tunes but the nav sys includes two SD card slots for mp3s. pretty sweet.

 

Navie is awesome my mom has teh new a6 with it and it so good. Way better than the navie in my dads new Range Rover. bI dont think bose is worth it. U can go to a audio store and put 1000 in to ur car with new speakers, stock HU, and an amp and u will love it way more than the bose.

 

I wanted teh nav system, but was able to get an 2005.5 black without nav and with the stock stereo for about 500 under costs..now the dealership made some money on me with opst options such as lojack, scotchguard...but i got this car for just over 45k new with no miles. premium package and cold weather package. My intention is to add satellite radio to the existing system, add a port for the ipod, and change out the speakers and add the amp.......the place that will do this is trying to talk me into tossing in a laser shifter as well, and i am debating that. the stereo upgrade will run about 1000, but i am assurred is much better than the bose upgrade......I can't wait to get this thing...hope the gas prices drop some in the next 2 days.

I really had wanted the nav...but again could not pass this one up. could have got a left over dolphin grey..my fav color..with every option and a man list of 57 for 51.5.....

i think i got a phenom deal on the car..63 miles on it.......

 

Yeah thats good, this guy near me is selling a Imola yellow '05.5 for 43k, only 23 miles on the clock, I just wish I had the money for it.
