is the APRchip detectable when you bring the car in to service? mine is still under warranty.

"Also, all APR software is undetectable to a dealers VAG diagnostic tool. "
I'm pretty sure that they solder the chip onto your ECU (correct me if I'm wrong),so if the dealer were to look directly at your ECU they would see it was chipped and your warranty would be void in most cases [:@]

Yes, but they say with their vag scan tool. I dont know if they will actually open your ECU. they probably just have to scan for it and if no dice then you get free work
-By the way I have the APR chip and it works great. I have 4 programs and with all EMCS programs. I love it. and yes i can be deactivated/activated by the cruise control stock.

GIAC will NOT blow your car up, that is total BS.
Get the chip (flash) from who ever is local to you. They are all FLASHED now, no more chips. The dealer is not going to remove your ECU & open it up to check. Not unless you have a huge warranty claim & they think you are lying.
Some people just purchase a spare ECU & leave it stock, then when you go in for service, you put the stock one in the car.
