Default Volvo S60 R or a new S4

Ive had my b5 s4 for almost 4 years now. The better half and I went to look at the new S4, M3, and the new Volvo S60 R. Beleive it or not I liked the S60 R the best and the S60 R is almost 10000 less than a new M3 or S4 . All around it felt better for me the front seats are long in the legs and has a lot of cool features. Horse power is about the same. Anybody have any experience or know anybody withe the R models? Let me know. I know this is an Audi forum, but any thought woud be much appreciated.

You get what you paid for.... German cars are in a different league. Volvo is'nt ever tested with the S4, M3 or AMG.

I got the B6 S4 - same thing as the B7(engine wise anyway) and i considered the S60R when buyin, im not tryin to bag the R but it really is a big heavy car that has heaps of turbo lag and has crap handling and the adjustable suspension via the comfort, sport, advanced is absolute rubbish! On paper the R may seem like an equal or close to the S4 but in the real world the S4 is a beast with a revy engine and would kill the R in handling.
Build quality in the R is good and has good standard features, whereas the S4 with similar options is a fair bit more
If u think Audi's take a hit on the used car market, if u in the R for a couple of years it will be worth nothing - coz nobody really wont them
The B5 S4 in closer to comparison to the S60R if anything?
And finally if u wont a all round car with 4 doors for snow and really bad weather the S4 is much better in this sense than the M3
Hope that helps
Cheers

There was a Top Gear Episode clip I saw one time where they reviewed the Volvo. At the end the last words were something like "so buy an S4".

Audi has that feeling when you drive it that few cars can equal. I am hooked on the S-Cars. And this is coming from a guy that had 911's for 10 years. Over all the S-car are a masterpiece of luxury and performance.

M3 if you want sporty and impractical, S4 if you want classy and practical.
