waste of money, make your own, buy a 3in exhaust pipe from a muffler shop with some random bends in it and get creative with a ban saw and a universal k&n cone filter and some ceramic heat paint.

uhh bottlecap do you know what the x1 is? Its an open element with a carbon fiber airbox, its actually VERY nice. Not really like the AWE s-flow and ABT big bore which is just what you explained above

the X1 is the only intake i would spend money on.

For anything up to stage 2+ id just use the stock airbox with darintake, but if your going stage 3 this is a nice little piece, expecially if your getting a tune specifically for an open element intake. I want to get one, but obviously its not first on my list, still its a very nice intake.

what did you use ? sheet metal? and vac hose? what i like about the X-1 is it seems to direct more air using the stock routing vents.

sheet metal i found lying on the side of the garage. bent it using a hammer and 2x4 cleaned it up, prime and painted with ceramic engine paint and then used common weather foam stripping on the edges to seal it with the hood. i also used the factory cold air tube. you can see it on the top picture. its the s shaped piece of plastic right infront of the filter. i tested it with a thermometer and it kept a 30 degree difference for almost an hour before it finally heated up to much where it was equal temps
