i agree a lot with jhuff. i would say, be happy with rods, 2.8 cams/heads/ port polish mani's to match, and go with springs. i think the inconel spring would be overkill, nonetheless a good investment, i just dont know if they are worth the upgrade. RS4 intake mani is always good, maybe a 80mm hemi throttle body. id call VAST or EPL or whoever is going to tune your car, give them your power goals, and they will give you a clear cut answer of where you want to go/what you want to do... they know better than the both of us, but also they are going to want to push their product.

btw.. what are your power goals??

So basically if i were to just start with the 2.8 heads and cams, and valve upgrade and port and polish the manifold. then i should be good to go with the tial 770 kit? i know im asking allot here but im just lost in all the options. i am prolly one of those noobs right now that everyone hates

500 whp?? or 500 bhp?? im over 600 bhp with my car.. remember, these quattros lose an assload due to awd.. stock block can/will get you 475-500whp safe depending on torque onset...

and you can get yes retarded power on race fuel or E85 with those 770's and some of the options listed.. must have meth, primo intake and primo exhaust AWE smic's or better...

If you only want to do just above 500whp I would just go with RS6 turbos. They will save you the spool time but give you insane top end without losing much in the midrange. I strongly recommend you think about what your final goals are before you jump to the biggest turbos out there. A thoroughly built and thought out engine will easily give you 500hp on RS6 turbos. IMHO unless you do some serious drag racing and are dying to break 12 seconds, turbos bigger than RS6 are unnecessary.

BTW I strongly recommend Vast and JHmotorsports for parts. You can certainly get almost everything you need for such a build from them in one fell swoop. Plus you will get their backing during tuning and building.

i ran 11.9 on stock block and RS6's with a slipping RS4 clutch/pp setup.... the RS6's def give the car a very drivable feel around town, then hold the throttle down past 3000 and make sure your buckled in!!!

very right in a lot of statements. do you want to drive a civic up to 4800 rpm and have some hellacious v-tec???? if not and you need some low end grunt, stay k04, RS6 or one of the TiAL setups.. IMO

i think ive come to the conclusion to go with the tial 605 kit now that ive decided on the kit i need to find a few other parts to go along with it. Any suggestions as far as parts to run along with the tial setup for optimal performance.

no dp's, no fueling, no tuning. and yes you need the inlets.. so figure 2000 for fueling/tuning, 750 or so for a great dp setup, 540 for the inlets.. then you need a bigger fuel pump, possibly 250 for the hitachi maf depending on what year your car is. 29XX is not cut and dry all that youll need for going this route. you are going to spend 8000 at least, and that may not be going primo everything... smic's, better exhaust, at least 800 for a good clutch, maybe more if you are going LWFW.. 2500 or so for a twin disc.. plus mounts and such..
