Turbo timer install disables remote door lock
Anyone experience the same problem? I called a shop to scedule an appointment to get my turbo timer installed and they told me that for 2000 models when the turbo timer is installed it disables the remote door lock so i would have to lock the car manually with the key. Wierd. Is this true?

Gosh. Another problem. When they installed it, they could not figure out why the RPM and the MPH is off. They said it is about 1.5 times higher than what the stock speedometer reads. [:@] I know another person on here got the exact same turbo timer I got. The HKS type 1 USA. Have you installed it? Anybody with turbo timers and no problems like mine? Well, at least I'm maintaining the turbos. Thanks in advance.

Yeah my Mitsubuishi 3000GT VR4 has a turbo timer in it as well -- Blitz FATT -- . I can't use the remote to lock my car if it's still running. At first I thought it was a problem and then I realized it was because the car thinks the key is still in the ignition and the safety interlock that prevents you from locking your keys in the car won't allow the keyless remote to function.

They said it was only on the 2000 models and they can't bypass it. They said the 2001 models and others work fine with the turbo timer. But what about it being 1.5 times higher readings than the speedometer for rpm and mph. I don't get that. Wierd. I don't think its the settings. Maybe it was installed wrong. Thanks for the link.
