Turbo kit

about you wanting HP and reliability your eventually going to have to sacrifice one for the other. The K04 are much more reliable then the K03. The RS6 turbos will cost you about $1200 more then the K04 and your also looking at needing your btm end built especially if your wanting a RS6 DD.

yes it is expensive.. even though the B5 S4 is the most mod-able S4 out there compared to a honda or something or other japanese cars where turbos are all over the place on ebay and you can throw them on in a matter of 4 hours.. the number of built mitsus, evos, hondas and subies out there still is way more than these audis, so yeah.. supply and demand hasnt come into full circle yet... its not on our side yet.. i do know the price of K04 and RS6 turbo kits continue to drop as the market continues to add more suppliers for these turbos, also im sure that the 700whp GT kits are bringing down the competition(k04/rs6) prices as well..

Has anyone experiment with E85 yet on the Audi?

Yes, I am looking to pick up a 2005.5 A4 and my plan/goal was to get the K04 kit from apr or something then if what they claim is true 318awhp will just be fine for a daily driver. And run 100 oct when I wanna and that should get me close to 340awhp or even more. But I am starting to see that's not the case. What people don't know is getting 400awhp plus on daily driven cars is scary. My goal with my 3000gt was 650awhp but when I got to 550awhp, I said that' was scary enough lol.

I used to race motorcycles and rode a 9 second bike daily that was geared extremely short. It was the same scenario though; throttle control and understanding the power band is all that matters. The car will go as fast as you tell it to, bottom line.

I have close to 400 whp on my K04 setup, but the great thing is the boost doesn't kick in until about 3200 rpm. Other than that, when I drive around town I never go above 3000 rpm when shifting.

250 at the crank so like 200whp... and yeah.. my boost really starts pushing at 3000, at 3800 its full bore 23psi.. so just keep it under that and you dont have to drive it like a race car all the time.. and no. with 400whp im sure its a 2.7t S4....

Woops, sorry to be misleading but I've got a 2.7TT. However, a friend of mine had about 350 whp on his 1.8T using a GT28RS. If you want more information I could most likely ask him about specifics of his setup.
