Default tryin to sell my car(for the last 2 months)

my main sites to sell are craigslist and autotrader. has anyone had any better luck on other sites? my car is in pretty good condition and nothing major wrong with it so i know its a good buy and i know the economy sucks but its not that bad anymore..what gives? im selling it for 10,800 with 118k. thats above kbb but its about what i owe left on it so i wont take less but it comes with a 5 year fully transferrable warranty so thats why its more expensive. and yes the turbos, timing belt, and waterpump have all been replaced within a year. the only thing major is the cv joints both need to be replaced because the boots are torn but cmon thats something someone could do in a weekend..a day if they're good. i dont want to spend anymore money on this car though since im trying to sell it. any suggestions?

Price too high for a car with problems in a bad economy that is still getting worse, not better.

Sometimes it's just timing, too. I tried to sell my A6 for well under KBB and it took a while. Very little action from Autotrader or Craig's. A neighbor ended up buying it.

10,800 is way too much. Kbb is very generous also. NADA usually is a little more realistic.

I think 9k is probably reasonable to an enthusiast.
If you can just pay $100 more a month for the next year you will put your debt-to-value closer to the positive side.

The only fast way out would be to buy a new car and have them tack on the loan balance to your new loan.
I don't recommend this but it works in a pinch. You'll be in the hole again but at least you'll have a new car.

Dude, ditch your retarded warranty.

I got tooled by the same thing. Re-finance your car. Since it is changing finance companies it voids the warranty, and allows you to get your balance back on the warranty you paid for.

Your warranty company might try and blow you off if you ask about it, but I promise you it will work. I have done it myself, AND had a friend do the same thing.

Here are the steps:
1.) refinance your care w/ your bank or another bank (unless your credit is way worse, you will get a better interest rate).
2.) Take the financing papers (immediately) to the place you bought the car (or the warranty if it was purchased afterwards).
3.) After about 4 weeks they will cut you a check on the warranty. It is a derivation of the time/mileage remaining on the warranty.
4.) Put the check DIRECTLY towards your balance of your car.
5.) You can now sell you car less the balance of the warranty you paid for, NOBODY wants to pay for the warranty when they buy your car, even if it makes perfect financial sense.

im not in a pinch but if i sell my audi then i can put the money id save on a car payment and insurance into my bmw im restoring. no rush but i'd figure it'd sell by now. i would drop the warranty, trust me i would in a heart beat but since i've already taken a claim out for my turbo replacement which costed more than the warranty itself i dont think i can. if i didnt have my warranty i could sell it for about 9600 since thats what i owe but ya...i did try and refinance but they would only refinance up to the value of the car and it wasnt enough to cover the warranty. idk it was confusing. my credit score is good but i have no collateral really. payin the extra 100 is a really good plan but then again thats 100 i could be putting towards my other car which slowly but surely is comin along i really appreciate the advice to you all though..ill try and make it work some how

Just for reference I got my 2001 S4 with 122,000 miles and an extra pair of rims and snow tires for 7200.
