No that would def have to be from new york. I bought my s4 from a dealer in New york and it turns out the people who had the car before me was an 40 year old asian lady. So my car ended up being ok. i know a couple kids from jersey (including myslef) that have s4's and take care of them and dont beat on them.

The grill has the old S4 badge, and the trunk has new. I'd buy it, clean it up really nice, do the timing belt, change all the fluids, do the brakes, tires, and suspension and use it as a daily driver.

There's a silver 2001 6-speed w/ black/gray interior right outside the Air Force Base here at a small car lot, for like $13k, and it has 40k miles. I want to buy it for my wife.

if you were to buy the car and then do all the maintenence, you might as well just spend the extra money and get one with MUCH lower mileage. Also i would check that 01 s4 with 40k on it, make sure the mileage hasnt been rolled back or it hasnt been in an accident or anything because a 01 s4 with 40k miles on it should be going for about $20k not $13K...

I got my 02 S4 w/ 59k for $17k. $13k sounds about right to me from what I've seen others going for around here.

a 2002 with like 40k miles for 13k doesnt sound about right... that price is WAY to low. check carfax i guarantee you it has been in at least one accident or salvaged or flood damage...

Oh i know there are alot of nice S4's around the NY/JERSEY/CT area and the OWNERS take good care, BUT like it or not jersey car theves love S4's. 5 stolen from hotels just the morning of waterfest last year. If you search on audiworld you can find maps with locations of where the cars were stolen, lists with dozens of people who had their car stolen in jersey, and even more threads about it.

An s4 is not safe in some parts of New Jersey. Regardless of weather or not the owners take care of the car they still get stolen and beaten to hell.

Theres some Nice S4's around boston dosnt change the fact that Bostonians still love to steal B5 HID headlights and E-codes at a higher rate than any other city in the US.... ppl in jersey just like to take the whole car so they can beat it, THEN sell the headlights, seats, aftermarket BBS's or Volks, motor parts, etc etc etc.
