Default Suggestions..?

I have a 2004 S4 and try to park as close to the curb as possible to avoid other cars. However, this morning I got a bit too close and scuffed/scrapped the front right rim on the curb. Nothing too serious, but it did enough damage to be noticeable. I have the stock rims and wanted to see if anyone had any ideas on how to minimize the damage. I don't want to replace if possible. I will try to add a picture when I get home from work. Thanks!!!

There is this rim rash repair guide, but its for aluminum polished wheels. But maybe you can use this as some sort of guide?. I figured I'd just show it to you and let you decide.

Thanks for the link. Not sure how the finish of my rims will hold up though. I really need to get a picture up and would love some more feedback. Makes me sick to my stomach knowing that I did this on my own.

If your rim is coated/painted (like on the stock B5S4) you can simply get the rim resurfaced. It's like $25 per tire in most detail shops.

If it makes you feel any better, I scraped my new $1000 BBS rim the other day and I don't think it's going to be easy to fix. Sucks rocks and I know what you mean about feeling crappy about it.

go to a detail shop or dealer, they can tell you if they can or who can fix the scuffs, my mom bought a 2007 a6 with some scuffs on all 4 wheels (factory wheels) and before she payed for the car she made the dealer get the wheels fixed, can't even tell they were scuffed at all! so they are repairable

If the scratching isnt deep you can sand it out, paint it, then clear coat it and be all set. The Avus wheels arent too hard to refinish.

I know how you feel though, my cars 7 years old, what 7 year old, 3 owner car, dosnt have a little curb rash? I was at a drive up atm and scratched the lip of one of my aftermarket wheels, not so easy to fix. **** happens...
