standalone over ecu programming?
soo i was at my shop today discussing if I should go stand alone with my s4 or get my ecu re flashed from awe. Anybody know the good and bad about stand alone over getting the programs? let me know!

What standalone unit?
Chip $500
Motec ECU $2500 for the unit only.
You will get highest gains with a SA ECU. It will also grow with the car, just needing a retune
when you change things.
The BIG downside, is cost, install cost is much higher, you need to tune it, you need to get a
wiring harness for the car, injectors, coils, sensors, etc, then code it to the dash cluster.
Do you see where I am going? It's going to be 20X the cost of getting a chip. If the car is
"stock" other then the ECU, your not going to gain what you want from the cost over the chip.
I'd bet there would be less then a 5% difference in HP & torque between them.
