Seat belt replacement
Does anyone have any experience with changing the seatbelt? The dealership wants $450 to replace it, and i am determined not to pay that considering i can get the part for only $100 but i don't have any experience changing the seatbelt.

RE: Seat belt replacement
i seriously can't image that changing the seat belt is rocket science. mid 90's Honda's/Acura's are easy, yank the old one out and put the new one in. Although I have never done it on an S4...

RE: Seat belt replacement
Takes about 20 minutes. I am guessing you are talking about front ones? take the plastic trim off the
b pillar and loosen 3 bolts and remove a plastic guide. Unhook the wires and bolt new one in. pretty simple.

04 A6 S Line air bag light on. evaluation indicates drivers side seat belt tensioner. Wanted $800 to replace seat belt! I removed it myself, sent it off and had it rebuilt for $65.
I have reinstalled the belt but have not plugged it up yet because I have been told to disconnect battery first. I don't have any of the codes that would be wiped out if I disconnect battery and I really don't want the hassle. Then again I don't want to trigger an explosion and/or air bag deployment. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm going to sell the car but can't until I get this resolved.
