Thumbs up Sacramento Raceway results 05/18/2011

New guy here!

I took my B5 S4 to the strip for the first time since I had it built. Special thanks to the JHM crew for the awesome tune, labor and attention to detail. Also 034 get's a thumbs up from me for the 3.5" exhaust and a whole slew of other parts from that shop. My times where all over the place since this was my first time drag racing an AWD car. []

I had massive fun and nothing broke on the car! I drove it 60 miles to the track, raced it, then 60 miles back home and commuted to work the next day! Let me know what you guys think. I'm looking for 11's on 91 octane next time out.

The car was at full weight, full interior, spare tire and all. I'm not sure what others run so I'd like to know if my setup needs work, or is good to go. The time slips are at the bottom. My first run I missed a couple of shift, left traction control on etc.... Second run focused on the launch and I still missed a gear.

Some guy in a mustang was looking for a Kill.....be sure to watch that video.

K04's, stock tranny with updated 2nd shift collar, not WOT box. Hows yours run?

she's in pieces at the moment getting a rebuild and some upgrades, but she was running pretty strong before that. focusing on cooling and suspension this time around.

that 12.1 you pulled is pretty impressive. what are you boosting? meth? that 3.5in exhaust is nice but i thought you needed a bigger turbo set-up to fully utilize it with out loosing power due to back pressure loss. every car i see with that exhaust is running at least rs6's or tial 605's. how is it working out for you?

My tuner, JHM felt the 3.5" was the smallest I should even consider. Turbos don't like to be restricted on the exhaust side. The 3.5" lets them spool like MF's. My boost on that run was 22'ish, 91 octane with water meth coming in around 18 psi.

The car was getting faster with each pass as the air cooled. We called it quits with 12.1 @ 116 MPH and no broken parts. If we let it cool down, I bet we could have broken into the 11's on the next pass.

I tried talking to the Stang owner after the run and he was pissed after I told him I even missed a shift.
