Hi guys,

Got a 01 s8 about a month ago. No one really seems to know about any proven mods for her since most of you have the s4. Just curious, I haven't done the research or had the opportunity to pull up along side one willing......BUT who would win it? Stock s8 vs stock s4? Any idea? Also, last week my girl drove it about 10 minutes from work. She didn't notice the temp gauge hot buried until the warning light and DING came on. She had another 30 seconds of driving until she turned car off. It lost about 2 inches of antifreeze from reservoir from the overheat. What are the signs that she killed my heads? I'm guessing new t-stat will fix (i hope just that) and while it's getting replaced I'll do the 100k service. Any suggestions while the complete nose is off the beast?

As long as the S4 driver can drive , he wins.

 

Why the s4? The bi turbo's, weight vs power, give me the details. I want nothing more than to take one on, but so far no takers. Then again I've only come across two s4's in my area.

 

from a stop? power to weight goes to the S4. the advantage would probably get a little lost on the highway though.

 

It is all about the driver....but...that said...given drivers of similar skills, the s4 wins...either s4 -b5 or b6.

Nice site abacab. Well the numbers don't lie....s4 wins it by .3 seconds. Oh well, It won't stop me from pulling up to one and sending the throttle to the pavement. Thanks for the replys.

 

.3 is such a small margin....it really goes to the best driver at that point.

 

Indeed it is. Which side of the street is greasier could make up that difference.
