RE: S4 v. Trans Am LS1
here's a spec sheet to consider. If you do everything right, you should take him.
NOTICE: The LT1 Trans Am listed has a dual air intake and an exhaust, so power figures should relate to your buddy's ride.
(you may want to consider pulling your filter if all you have is a chip and DVs though.)
this is a 97 LT1:

HP 285 @ 5200
TQ 325 @ 2400
(rear wheel drive so it's to your benefit to do this from zero)

RE: S4 v. Trans Am LS1
I decided to follow HP Addicts advice. Darintake is soooo easy! idk why more ppl dont do it, and it cost me around 45 bucks.
Im in the middle of doin the mod now, does anyone know of a good sealant to use?

RE: S4 v. Trans Am LS1
I have an 01.5 S4 6 speed, stock for now.My second car is an01 SS camaro LS1 325hp 6 speed,w/ just a couple of bolt ons (ORY, intake, cutout, andNitto's) my SS went 12.42 at 113, w/ a 1.89 60'.Is the TA stock? My S4 weights more than my SS. It will be a close race if the TA has a good driver. I have some buddies w/ full bolt-on LT1's running 12's.

RE: S4 v. Trans Am LS1
So the owner of the TA called me today, said he's got the race in the bag. I asked why and he says that "your weak *** turbo 4 banger doesnt stand a chance." I think he doesnt know the diff between s4's and a4's. So i asked him if he wanted to make the race interesting. I said 50 bucks, he said 100. so 100 it is. If i can line a couple of chumps like him up ill be stg 2 in no time
