S4 Multifunction steering wheel swap
Good Evening, All:
I recently acquired an '05 S4 to replace my beloved, but aging, '01 A6 2.7t. The S4 is an amazing machine, but there's one thing that I *really* miss having: the multifunction steering wheel. The A6 has it, so after all these years, I've become quite accustomed to having it.
That being said, has anyone done the standard wheel to multifunction wheel swap? If so, what's the procedure? I know I'll need the new wheel itself, but I also assume I'll need a module of some sort for the wheel to talk to the bus, and a cable or two to connect everything? I have a VAG-COM, so doing a recode on the stereo to accept the wheel isn't a big deal (if I do even need to do that).
A quick search didn't reveal a preexisting answer to this question, so.....any ideas?
Thanks a lot!
