Default S4 Alignment Guru? 2k....

So the Deathstar is almost 100% running awesome. just one last wrench in the machine.

Alright i got a pretty gnar vibration at highway speeds, so im figuring tires are all worn out of wack because my last alignment was garbage. And i was STFA and saw that ur supposed to align the sub frame when you get an alignment done. Is this Valid?

Just because if so i need to find someone that will align my car properly around here cause i know the local tire shops wont know how to align the subframe, and im very motivated to get rid of the highway vibrations

Thanks.

every timeI have gotten an alignment Ialways go to the dealer regardless of where the tires are purchased and installed. The cost difference between having JoeBlowWhoever and the dealer is always slim to no difference in price. I generally pay around $80-to-$100 for a 4 wheel alignment.

yeah, the audi dealer is less than 15 miles from the tire place, I just line the appointments up to go tothe dealerimmediately after the tire shop.

yup dealers do it for 100 bucks even and takes 2 to 2 1/2 hours i drove 45 min to my dealer on new tires to have the alignment done its not a big deal but only do it once.

My local shop has the tools to move the cradle. Yes, it is part of the alignment. Just find a local speed shop, they should know how to do it.

I stay away from the dealers, especially if your car is no longer stock. They can't corner balance the car, or set it how I want it. Most regular shops will only do factory specs.

I like some camber in the front, 0 toe F/R.

SOME dealers can do customer work but not all of them. At mine i was in charge of doing custom alignments to lowered vehicles including air bagged ones. Just ask the dealer if they have someone that has experience with aligning lowered audi's. It really doesn't change much except the camber and raised toe adjustments.
