I'm thinking of doing the RS4 widebody conversion. Anyone know of a good place to get all the parts, maybe a kit. I found a couple places but most are insanely expensive. I may just have to spend the money but I wasn't sure if there is a more reasonable aftermarket solution than spending $7000 on factory parts.

 

nope..in this case you got to pay to play.. its extremely expensive for the full widebody ocnversion but it is hot.

You're talking big money....typically they are around $10k all said and done. Unless I came into some serious money the only way I'd consider it is if my car had some serious damage to the entire side and it was not totaled.

 

I'm not a math genious, but price of S4 plus $10K = price of RS4, right?

 

naw, the new ones are about 20k more than ours. the body work is very nice but wide fenders and coil overs still don't get close to the dynamic ride. looks beautiful, but it takes a lot of money to resemble gmbh quattro.

 

If I win the lottery, I am spending as much as needed to get a B5 RS4 Avant from overseas to America... so I can feel special...

 

i was looking at the b5s before i bought the b7 last year. i found a few in spain that went for the same price (converted from euro to dollar amount). i finally went with the b7 because most of the rs4s looked like they were rode hard and put up wet (and that was just the interior condition and paint job).
