Default Royal Purple Review

Before I get slammed, I did check to no avail...

Has anyone changed over their diffs, tranny, engine, etc.,all at the same time to Royal Purple or Amsoil?

If so, does anyone have any data to indicate the benefits in mileage orhp gains from this maintenance/mod?

thanks!

Larry

i haven't heard of any hp increase. i guess there would be less friction therefore making everything easier to turn. I think the idea is that it extends the life of everythng. true or not true?

any synthetic will be improvements in the wear & tear in theory (differential etc.)

I used Amsoil - then last change I used Royal Purple...
havent noticed any significant differences -
other than the Royal Purple comes out Purple (kinda odd)

as for hard actual data - best to check the actual royal purple site...

I put in Amsoil Series 2000 75-90 & it felt a little better, & not sure I picked anything up, but I'm happy with it.

Yea.. that would be the easy answer, all they could tell me was 2 to 6% increase in mileage (1 MPG gain) and maybe a 2 to 6% power gain if I changed all fluids - that would be an 18+hp gain at the wheels if that were true. I was looking for some real world results from the members.

I personally vote for amsoil. again no numbers to put up. But before I had a turbo car, I would run Amsoil for a full race seaon in my race car, then drain it run it through a quick straining filter to catch any big chunks of crap and imediatly turn around and throw it in my personal vehical and drive it for another 15 to 20,000 miles it worked great and i got well into the 200K mile marker with no motor trouble.Just my 2 cents.

A friend of mine just graduated from UTI and as a project they tested to see if different oils actually boost HP. Turns out that when they Dyno'd the car on Royal Purple boosted it by 5 HP. As to weather or not this is true from my personal experience i can not say (haven't done an oil change since he told me about this info). But thats what he said. Just giving some insite
