Rearview mirror tint drained out...
Yesterday I noticed an air bubble in my 2001.5 s4's rear view mirror. By tilting it I realized the mirror was filled with liquid. Today I get into the car and realize that all the liquid leaked out of the sensor area and now I have no tint in the mirror. Has this happened to anyone else does anyone k ow why it happened and does anyone know where I can get a new mirror?
Thanks all.
Thanks all.

Is this a side mirror or the one on the front window? That has happened to me when the seal between the two pieces of glass breaks. As i am currently a student and love ways to save money i popped it out, took off the plastic surrounding and cleaned out inbetween the two pieces of glass (where the auto-tinting liquid is). As long as you keep the gasket-paper type in tact there will be no problems putting it back together. It will no longer tint, but its a great fix. Otherwise i was looking at anywhere from $100-$200 replacement.

If youre not wanting to go to the dealer (or dont get a 10% discount) for the part then you should try www.shokan.com for the parts dont know how much it would be but I know you can send a request for parts and prices
