So i went to get my car chipped and the guy told me it was already chipped but it only hits 12 psi in 1st 2nd & 3rd but will hit 15 psi in 4th and up as long as i'm going uphill. The guy said that it wasn't because it hit 15 PSI when he drove it. My question is in what gear are you guys hitting the 17 PSI or so with a chip. And i have researched the hell out this and nobody says anything about what gear and situation they are in when they hit those numbers. Basically i'm just trying to find out if its chipped also i have pulled the ECU and it had the Audi sticker on it and it wasn't torn and i tried to use the cruise control to see if i had APR but no CEL or anything. Any input is appreciated and thnks in advance.

 

Should spike 17psi but then drop to 15. Im sure I dont need to mention boost leak. You tried cruise control? So you turned the switch to ON then held the SET button down for 5 sec...... and then what? Nothing? or did the CEL blink? Your definitely chipped, because theres no way you'd even get 12 psi on stock. You have alot more ahead of you then worrying about what chip you have.....hehe......ALOT more!

 

thanks for the quick reply and the cruise control does nothing but I might have been doing it wrong. Finding out I was already chipped killed my day I was looking forward to more power but I well I guess wait til the K03's blow and go stage 3 and I have a very good aftermarket warranty so it should make life easier.
