I saw this great deal on a 2004 Audi S4 white on black manual on Craigslist.

But upon looking at the details, my friend made two important distinctions. 1) He said the headlights should not be surrounded by chrome but S series should be gray. 2) The steering wheels look funny.

Is there something wrong with this 2004? The KBB for 2004 with 42k miles is $25k, and they are selling for $19k.

That steering wheel came with the onstar package my car has that exact same steering wheel. There is also a three spoke one that came on models without that package. Its an upgrade over the basic stuff. The wheel has volume and cd/radio station up and down plus a R/T (radio/telephone) button for the onstar connectivity.

My headlights are grey around them now that I look at them. I looked up a few S4's on autotrader and they all had blacked out lights regardless of the color. I would suspect that car had a font end collision and A4 headlights were used.

 

I dont know what you mean by chrome around the headlights. Are you talking about the chrome trim around the front grills? Thats all normal.

Edit: yeah they are different, probabaly ebay or aftermarket

The steering wheel is either an OEM package, or an OEM addition to get the stereo controlls on the wheel. I like the 3 spoke S4/R32 wheel better...

Car looks normal, 20k sounds right... nothing LOOKS wrong witht he car, but you should check the vin to see the history, test it, and get it looked over by an indy shop before you buy

 

No he means behind the glass. The surround inside the B6 S4 is black not chrome like the A4.

See all the chrome inside the light vs. my car with all black? Looks like A4 lights to me for some reason.

I e-mailed the dealer about this car a few weeks back. I asked if it had Alcantara interior and he was quite rude in his response. It looks very nice and I'd take a look at it if I knew I could sell my 03 A6.
