Hey guys im aboutto purchasemy first Audi.Its a 2001.5 S4 with 83K 6-speed black/silver interior. Im getting the car from Carmax and i wanted to know if anyone has had any experiences with their Maxcare Extended Warranty. Its $2800 for 3 years and 36k miles. They couldnt tell me anything about about the service history of the car so i figure it might be a good idea, considering i may need a timing beltandwater pump soon. And the car would be covered till 118k miles so hopefully i can get some new turbos out of Carmax in that time.

So basically anyone know if its like pulling teeth to get Carmax to pay for things???

they couldn't tell you the history?? did they know it or did they have the car with absolutely no records?? kinda fishy!! haha.. I would look around for one , if u could, that has all records. If you do go with that car and the water pump goes ands the engine blows, will that be under the warranty? it's good in a way because you could get an MBC and spike the k03's to like 24psi and just wait for the turbo lady to come in like a month, lol.
Sounds a little sketchy to me... good thing to research the S4 before buying ( unlike I did! Opps). Always have an extra couple grand in case something like the turbos go.

 

According to their web site the warranty covers all those parts that i dont want to pay for like turbos, water pump, timing belt, cv boots and joints,andcontrol arms.
