Problems with New Exhaust and ESP Light on B-7
I had new downpipes and exhaust installed on 06 B-7 S-4 today. Now my check engine and ESP light are on permanently. Exhaust guys say they don't why that would happen. Any one know?
I also noticed that I need to give more gas when accelerating from stop, or it will die. It sounds great and way more power, as well as noticed increased fuel economy.
I just want those lights off, the ability to use ESP and less gas off the stop. Please help!!

Since this problem only started after the install, my guess would be that they facked something up
Tell the muffler place you are going to take it to the dealer to find out what the problem may be, and that they will be responsible for their mistake
if the dealer doesnt find anything wrong with the install you should be coverd under warranty

The installers claim the did not touch anything that would cause that problem. But I agree it is strange that all of a sudden my electrical is screwed up. The muffler guy said maybe it needed to be re-set.
One guy suggested that the air fuel mixture may be different. But that doesnt explain why the ESP light is permanently on. Anyone else have any ideas?

I didnt have that problem at all... It may be as simple as they didnt put in or tighten the O2 sensor which would cause your check engine light to go off.. as for the ESP light.. it might be related.. or when the did my downpipes.. (i was standing in the shop watching them) they went through the bottom and the top.. so the could have unpluged just about anything.. i would suggest getting your jack out.. check underneath yoru car for the O2 sensors.. and the pop the hood and make sure all conections are connected.. if it was just the O2 sensor.. once you turn the car on and then off.. once you turn it on again and start driving it should go off..

Fixed. It is awesome hearing that V-8 with the exhasut and cool air intake. definitely a power increase. The problem had to do with teh mass air flow going bad. the word is that they are delicate and at least warranty a item so no big deal!
