Probably losing my S4 in divorce....

996 gets my vote, I've always been keeping my eye on them cause their prices are getting about right! Sorry about the divorce too, hope it wasn't the military thing cause I know what the statistics are and don't want you to be one of those. Oh and no M3's and drive a vette to see if you like it they are way different than you'd expect or at least thats the feeling I got from an 05 z06.

Well I have the S4 with me now, we are still undecided who's going to take it, but I won't fight her for it. If she takes it, she takes the payment which then lets me get a new toy.
I put new front O2's sensors in it recently, and last night on the way home from the bar the ******' check engine light came on. I read the codes today, P0155 Bank 2 Sensor 1 Heated O2 Sensor Circuit Failure...... reset the light, drove it for about 10 miles home, so far so good. It's running fine. It was running so rich before that it stunk from the raw fuel. Now I can't tell from the tailpipe that if it's rich or not.
Oh well, might not be my problem much longer.
I'm still leaning toward the vette. The interior, especially the radio and the climate head unit look cheap. The radio I will upgrade, the climate control, well I'll live with it. I'm more concerned about weight, power, and 1/4 mile times, and autocross ability.

well in the 1/4 for stock you will have it with the Corvette and the weight and power, but with a little work you will have that with an S4 or M3. For the autocross i would much perfer the AWD of the S4 or the 50/50 balance of the M3, when I drove the Corvette it just didnt have the feel of the corners that my S4 or my buddys M3
Oh yeah and once again like I said I'm a Mustang guy, Like the one stiiting in my garage that is only for the 1/4

Giving a problematic B5 to the wife... that's harsh, haha.
The Vette would be a great performance car. However, I've seen E46 M3's with a catback, new clutch/flywheel and intake run 12.5s! Would you consider an STI or Evo?

STI not so much. Evo..... maybe. I'm not a jap car fan at all. Never owned one, don't want one.
12.5's is good for a daily, but if I get the vette, she'll be 11's on motor very easily and 10's on spray. But i won't give up the a/c or any of the creature comforts.
My friend has a reliable combo for 10's out of an LS1 for really cheap. I could make a lot of money with that car if I kept it looking stock and did a hidden nitrous kit.
