I have seen several people using piggies on ko4 cars. some in the low 11's

if you get piggies I would get it from the people that started it not from the ones that copied it.

 

Vast INVENTED them, they coined the term "piggies". So if you are going to buy "piggies" Vast IS the only place that sells them.

But anyone can make a gutted downpipe, it's not rocket science.

gutted downpipes just happen to be named piggie because piggiesmalls was the first to come up with the idea. doesn't mean others can't copy the idea. sooo if piggies aren't rocket science then why do you have to get them from VAST?

Agree 100% there is only one place to get real piggies VAST vast owner has a nick name......guess what it is.........PIGGIE.....I think I would know they helped build my car. I saw piggie make several Dp's.

As for not being rocket science. I don't know I have seen several people try and end up with a big mess. I have seen sets that people have sent to vast that tryed and obviously failed.

I own a V8 so I don't have piggies but I know this. it takes a little skill to modify the pipes and when you are done the car makes more power still can pass emissions and gets the proper long term fuel trims.

I have only met one guy that tryed to do the pipes him self and his long term fuel trims were way off. It may have been due to some thing else but just thought I would share

all in all I would and do always suggest people go to vast. they have always gone out of there way for me.. WAY out of there way I checked before I did my trans swap there is not another shop in the U.S.that even knew where to start and lastly there have been very few companies that even cared to help with the V8.

IMHO there have been several companies out there that sit back and copy what other companies go and take time to make (even if it is modifying a part) even people say there is stuff that is so easy well ya it is easy when youKNOW someone has made it work.

A good example fixing your ABS module when it goes bad. no one would ever attempt this but after someone posted how to do it. all of a sudden it became " EASY".......... I just feel that we should just give credit where credit is due...That is once again why I agree 100% with 2K there is one more good reason why he is the moderator...it may not be rocket science but give credit where credit is due

A gutted downpipe is a gutted downpipe if it is done correctly...whether it is titled "piggie" or just "gutted down pipe".

there is a shop in long island that will gut your downpipes and install them for $500. you can have the vast cel elimanators tacked/ anti defoulers or relocate the 02 sensors...either way its gonna come out to the same product as the piggie pipe. therefore i am prettttty sure they can call them piggie pipes and get away with it.

Well the "Darintake" in quite popular as well, guess who made that one? Yes, the DP's were INVENTED By Piggiesmalls. There is a little more to them, then just being a gutted pipe. When you are the first to do something, most would say you are the inventor of what you did. We can argue till the cows come home, but Piggie was the first to do the gutted DP's & first to sell them to the masses.

Again, if you want PIGGIES, Vast is the only place. Piggies, is Vast name for their DP's. It's their name & their product. Yes, most places can makes a gutted DP's for you, but they are Pigges. It's like you can make your own AWE S-flow, but does that make it a AWE S-flow? Nope, it's a copy of the S-flow, same with the DPs.

Show me one online shop that advertises Piggies for sale.

I have been in the audi seen for about 10 years there are always going to be companys that make a living copying other peoples work.

I tried to make my own `piggies ' people make is sound so easy let me set this stright. piggies vastperformance Dp's are much more that just gutting...even that
have you ever tried gutting your Dp's try it and I can almost say for certion you will end up thinking for 400 dollars I would have payed someone else to do this. even after you finish the gutting you still need to relocate the o2 and weld that in the right spot. set the O2 wrong and you won't get good gas milage and you might not pass the smog inspection

I'm sure I can find some hack shop to try and copy every product that is out there and install it for cheap but I woul rather go to the one that starded it rather than the guy thatbis trying to copy it.
