Default Performance enhancements

What upgrades can I perform to my S4 to get more step out of it. Is there a chip or intakes or anything like that?

I wouldn't sink money into anything other than rims and suspension, maybe exhaust. There aren't many things available for the 4.2L and it costs a lot for not a lot of gain. They are fast stock, 340 hp, but you won't major gains unless you use nitrous or go forced induction.

WOW WAY wrong.

N/A B6 S4's are almost in the 12's after next to no performance mods for the past 4 years.

There are plenty of parts from Jh motorsports (JHM) and vast performance
long tube headers
light weight rotors front and rear
light weight crank pulley
intake spacers
Short Shifter Solid shifter upgrades
coolant bypass for the elbow
so far the strongest performing ECU tune
light weight fly wheel
Stage 2-3 clutch set ups
limited slip adjustments
::developing::
A cat back
intake porting
NOS kit with all the safety parts needed just for the B6 S4

At this point the N/A JHM cars are just as fast as the supercharged cars that are out there. Now obviously the supercharged cars are not running to there full potential. But then again none of us running low 13's or high 12's spent 11k either

Ok, JH Performance, I'll check it out after I get the car back from the Service center for my catastrophic failure. See thread "OMFG"

yea i was reading that thread. that sounds horrible! its got to be just a loose wire or somethin. or a short, maybe some water got into the computer? from what i've read 4.2's dont have to many mods unless you want to dump a **** load of money in them. i still like them tho and what scott was sayin, wheels and exhaust would be enough to set your ride apart from the rest. i love the sound of the 4.2 exhaust.
