ok, heres what my turbos sound like...a whine when it spools(definately noticable) and when it unwinds (not as noticable). I am new to turbos, and was just wondering if that is normal, i hear nothing other than the spool up...and dont give me the dentist drill theory, it makes no sense since i cant hold a dentist drill in my car to hear a difference. any help appreciated, thanks!

have you done anything to your intake, like taken out the stock intake box. cause you will here the turbos sucking more air from them and maybe get some more sounds from that. that is all i can think of. when i did the darintake i heard some more noise not much but some.

when in doubt, get bigger turbos...

honestly they whine! that is the nature of the beast, basically we are seeing a thread based off one persons opinion of loud whine, compared to what another person would concider normal...

If you rev the engine in neutral do you hear the whine? If not it will most likely be the turbos as they normally only whine under stress aka while driving.
